12 Jul Community Initiatives: A Sporting Chance
On Saturday the 15th of August we hope that CrossFit gyms around Australia will help us raise funds through the Sportining Chance initiative, to provide assistance to children in schools of the Wedza distract of Zimbabwe. The schools of Wedza are under resourced and under equipped.
A Sporting Chance aims to provide support to schools and donate items such as: Sporting equipment, Stationary and Books.
The donated items will be shipped to Zimbabwe and personally delivered to the Schools in September 2015.
We are desperately seeking your assistance to help raise funds for the shipping costs associated with transporting the materials AND we also need your help with acquiring the much needed sporting equipment that will make such a difference to these kids lives. We are asking that on August the 15th anyone that can help out please put together a fundraising drive. If you are in the Gold Coast area we are also looking for help with the donated items.
At Raw Iron we will be running a workout – $10 entry fee, BBQ and if you are business that would like to put up a stall please email us by completing the online enquiry form or sending a message through our Facebook page. All donated items can be dropped off to 38 Commercial Drive, Ashmore and will be kept here until shipment date.
